We’ve given you 2015’s latest colour trends, style trends and pool trends, but now we’re giving you this year’s top tile trends! Just in time for the most popular weekend for DIY of the year!

As you can imagine, each year we see hundreds of tiles come through our doors bidding for their place in our portfolio, however, it’s important that we stay true to the latest trends to ensure our customers and end-users are satisfied with the contemporary offerings we provide. Once we take a look at all the annual contenders, we whittle it down to just a fraction that makes it to the pages of our brochures and shelves of our retailers. So what were the trends that we followed this year?

The blue hue

We’ve seen major influence from Mediterranean climbs over the past few years and 2015 is no different. Taking a change of tack from the teraccotas and whites that are usually associated with such an area, this year the bright and airy blue hue will be popping up all over throughout interiors. Here’s a few of our stand out blue ranges…

You know that saying ‘If it isn’t broke don’t fix it’? Well it’s wrong. Although we love all the traditionally shaped tiles that adorn our stocks, but mixing it up with a different mix of shapes will add a totally new outlook on the way kitchens, bathroom and interiors look. Our new hexagon ranges, are ideal to mix it up a little.

Wood effect

Although we hinted on these interesting alternatives to natural wood, before 2015 was upon us, wood effect tile are still seeing high demand and impact in floor and wall applications. They’re more durable and more water resistant than their counterparts – definitely worth considering for kitchens with a rustic finish.

It’s simply not enough to have a resilient and functional tiled wall these days and the many textured feature tiles that are now available in a number of ranges from Waxman prove this. Adding further depth with a subtle wave, engraved into a tile can really d that ‘Wow’ factor to most wall applications.
